What is it?
Cryolipolysis takes advantage of the fact that fat cells are more sensitive to cold than other tissues. The area is cooled in a controlled way, and the affected fat cells are cleared by the body over the following weeks. It is not a weight-loss method; it is intended for localised fat that does not respond to diet and exercise.
Treatment areas
Abdomen, love handles, back, upper arms, inner thighs and under the chin
After the treatment
- Redness, numbness, tenderness or bruising in the area may last from a few days to a few weeks.
- Changes appear gradually over about 1–3 months.
- Rarely, the fat tissue in the treated area may increase; this is assessed by the physician.
