What are they?
These lasers deliver controlled heat to the skin to stimulate the renewal of worn tissue and collagen production. The laser is chosen according to your skin type and the problem being treated:
- Fractional laser: Renews the skin in microscopic dots. Used for acne marks, scars, deep wrinkles and texture problems. It has the longest recovery time of the options.
- Babyface thulium laser: A gentle laser that targets the layers close to the skin surface. Used for pigmentation, dullness and pores; mild flaking occurs for a few days.
- Nd:YAP collagen and tightening laser: Heats deeper layers without breaking the skin surface, supporting collagen production and firmness.
After the treatment
- Redness, a warm sensation and flaking may last from a few hours to a week, depending on the laser.
- Do not pick at scabs or flakes; use the moisturiser your physician recommends.
- Sun protection is very important in the weeks after treatment.
Who may not be suitable?
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding
