Hair Transplant
Hair Treatments- Procedure time
- 6–8 hours, depending on graft count
- Sessions
- Usually a single session

- Back to daily life
- Desk work usually within 3–5 days
What is it?
A hair transplant moves hair follicles (grafts) from the back and sides of the head, which are genetically resistant to hair loss, to bald or thinning areas. Because the transplanted follicles keep their own characteristics, they continue to grow permanently.
How does the process work?
- At the consultation, the cause of hair loss and the adequacy of the donor area are assessed, and the hairline is planned.
- The necessary blood tests are done.
- On the day of the procedure, grafts are harvested one by one and placed in the planned area.
- A check-up and the first wash are done the next day.
Recovery timeline
- First 10–14 days: Scabs fall off; washing instructions should be followed carefully.
- Weeks 2–8: Some of the transplanted hair falls out temporarily (shock loss); this is an expected part of the process.
- Months 3–4: New hair starts to grow.
- Around month 12: Most of the hair has grown in and thickened. The process varies from person to person.
Who may not be suitable?
- People with an insufficient donor area
- Uncontrolled diabetes, heart disease or bleeding disorders
- Certain types of hair loss, such as alopecia areata in its active phase
