What is it?
IV therapy delivers vitamins, minerals and similar supportive ingredients through a vein. An examination, and blood tests if needed, are done beforehand; the ingredients and dose are set by the physician according to your needs.
During the treatment
- The treatment is given in the clinic while you are seated.
- Healthcare staff monitor you throughout.
- Mild bruising may occur at the needle site.
Who may not be suitable?
- Kidney, heart or liver failure
- Allergy to any of the ingredients
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding (a physician's assessment is required)
